I have been a photographer for eight years now and am confident I can document your child's birth in a beautiful way.
It is so important to click with your birth photographer as this is the most intimate moment of your life. I will be there to document you being a warrior and be your friend through it all.
It takes time for most couples to feel comfortable hiring a birth photographer. It's such a highly personal experience and I understand how important this day is for you! I never even attempted birth photos of my firstborn because I was so nervous to have someone in the room I didn't know. I wish I had hired someone now because those pictures would be absolutely amazing to have. (And often your birth photographer is someone in the room you'll know best!)

Where do I begin.. Keely captured my maternity photos perfectly. They were everything I could imagine. The REAL showstopper is my birth pictures. If I did not have her there for this moment I would not have remembered hardly anything from my labor. These pictures will forever hold a special place in my heart and I’ll have them forever. Once you have reached 37 weeks of pregnancy, I am officially on call for you! You (and your support partner/doula) will have my personal phone number so that when things get going, you can reach me any time of day to tell me that labor has started.
When are you on call for our baby's birth?
Typical turnaround time for galleries are 4-6 weeks. I do offer sneak peeks within 1 week of your birth so you can share when you are ready. I edit each image to curate your gallery of only the best images of your birth experience.
How long does it take to receive the final edited gallery of photos?
I typically add travel fees on to most sessions outside of a 30 mile radius from my home in Lynchburg, Virginia. Fees vary depending on location so ask us for more details! For births, there is no travel fee for VA Baptist, Lynchburg homes, etc.
When do you charge travel fees?
YAY! To reserve your date, I’ll need a completed contract and a $250 non-refundable retainer. If you don’t have a contract yet, just let me know and I’ll send one over! The remaining balance will be due three weeks prior to due date.

As soon as possible! I update my availability on this page frequently so inquiring moms can see which months are booked up. I book a limited number of births per month and each year so I can provide quality service to all my families.
I have yet to encounter a birth that is similar to the last and each baby comes at their own pace! Some within half an hour and some within 72 hours. Babies are in absolute control of when they'll arrive but I will say that I have a great track record of arriving on time for each birth! If by some chance, baby arrives before I arrive. I will still come and document the postpartum life that is still so very important. Baby's first latch if breastfeeding. Being weighed. Opening eyes to look at parents. Perhaps older siblings meeting their newest sibling. Trust me that you will still want these moments captured! I will stay and capture it all for you.

You deserve to have images you can look back on and connect them to cherished memories! I also have a client closet and offer wardrobe guidance to make things easy on you.
For birth sessions, I will be as involved as you would like me to be. I can stay behind the camera, hold your hand during contractions or play The Office on my computer to help you relax. I am here to make your birth story better!

MATERNITY Session
I'm a big fan of maternity sessions for a few reasons. Not only do they allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, they also give us the opportunity to get to know each other better prior to your session. This can really help your significant other also feel better about having a "stranger" in the room during your child's birth! If your significant other is on the fence about birth photography, remind them that everyone in the room is a "stranger". But allowing me to be there will allow you both to look back and remember details you might otherwise not remember! (I can send client reviews that confirm this!)
I use Style and Select to help you with wardrobe and can travel anywhere in a 30 mile radius without travel fees!
ON CALL
Once you have reached 37 weeks of pregnancy, I am officially on call for you! I will direct you ahead of your due date on when to contact me. If you happen to go into labor prior to my on call time, please rest assured that I will do everything in my ability to be there for you and baby!
Photo Delivery
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about four weeks of your child's birth! At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums if you want.
I hope the relationship doesn't end after I deliver your photographs! I want to hear about your adventures with motherhood! (I also love helping where I can if you have any questions about breastfeeding or where to get the best iced coffee after a few hours of interrupted sleep.) Whether it be adding (more) children into the mix, celebrating an anniversary or wanting to capture the love in your family a little further down the road.
